Bhopal: Three people, including two women, were killed after an auto rickshaw they were travelling in was hit by a speeding bus in Anuppur district on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on the Anuppur-Rajendra Gram road around 9.30 am. Besides the deceased, five people sustained injuries, and were admitted to a hospital in Shahdol.
SDOP Anuppur, Sumit Kerketta said, "The deceased were identified as Ramkumar Singh, 40, Mohwati Singh, 40, both residents of Badhar village, and Sukhiya Bai, 50, a resident of Bhamraha village."
"They were coming towards Anuppur town, and the bus was going towards Dindori when it hit the autorickshaw. A case was registered against the bus driver, and the bus was seized," Kerketta said.
