Dave Grohl revealed affair as 'last-ditch effort' to save marriage to wife Jordyn Blum

Dave Grohl reportedly announced he fathered a child with another woman as a 'last-ditch effort' to save his marriage.

shocked fans when he announced he had a baby with an unnamed woman, after being married to actress and film producer Jordyn Blum, 48, since 2003, sharing three children with her. In his statement, he shared his hope to reconcile with his wife while also being an active parent to his new daughter.

"I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage," he confessed in his statement. "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."

According to new reports, he revealed the shock news as a 'last-ditch effort' to work things out with his wife after sheAn insider recently claimed that the former Nirvana drummer believes his marriage 'is salvageable' so he is now trying to 'divert his focus' and 'be there for Jordyn on the day-to-day things she wants.'

Jordyn is said to have given him an 'ultimatum to figure it out', with Dave wanting to do anything in his power to 'regain her trust'. A source said to : "He has to focus on her, that will be his best chance at getting back to what they had. Dave is focusing on her needs. Revealing [his affair and baby] in the first place was his last-ditch effort to save the marriage because Jordyn knew about it well before the found out."

The have contacted his reps for comment. It comes after it was said that Foo Fighters were forced to go on hiatus as Dave focused on saving his marriage. The band ended up pulling out of the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with just three days' notice last month.

Having been billed for the Sunday night, on X. A statement read: "Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend's Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information." A source recently claimed: "It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave’s mum and now the birth of his new child. He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family." The source said that a hiatus is the best thing for the band "collectively".
