The UK TV landscape has made way for the American presidential election this Tuesday night.
Polls in the United States will progressively close in each state this Tuesday, November 5, from 6pm ET as and go head to head in the .
But as months of campaigning end in anticipation at 11pm UK time, some Brits across the Atlantic may be keen to stay up overnight to follow all the latest updates.
Luckily, multiple channels on the box, from the to , have made room for their own coverage of the election on their schedules. Here's what viewers need to know.

BBC viewers will be able to tune in to from 10.40pm to follow the broadcaster's overnight coverage of the election, anchored from Washington DC by US presenters and Sumi Somaskanda. At 6am, the programme will be combined with , running through to 9.30am with .
Over on , Tom Bradby reprises hosting duties as he will anchor the channel's coverage of the presidential election from 10.45pm before handing over to and at 6am, who will welcome guests such as , and

BBC Radio 4, 5 Live and the World Service will also be dedicating their radio coverage to the election from 10pm to 6am with a special live from Washington with and . will then present the Today programme from the American capital.
While Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have been running close together in recent weeks, some victors in the past have been named late on election night or early the following morning. To make matters worse, a narrow victory could lead to recounts and other delays.
