ITV Emmerdale's John Sugden to kill major character after they discover his secret

Soap watchers are hitting the panic button over a character in Emmerdale, warning them to "be careful" around the inscrutable John, as they predict a sinister murder plot could be on the horizon.

The ITV village was turned upside down when actor Oliver Farnworth arrived on the scene as the long-estranged son of Jack Sugden, marking his arrival in August.

It was none other than Aaron Dingle, played by Danny Miller, who found himself in a spicy rendezvous with John, oblivious to the fact that he was getting cosy with his ex-husband Robert Sugden's brother, a role once portrayed by Ryan Hawley. The bombshell took both men by surprise. Victoria Sugden, brought to life by Isabel Hodgins on-screen, also experienced a jolt from John's entry, never having known she had another brother. Despite the initial shock, John has settled into village life, much to Victoria's delight.

But die-hard fans are speculating that Victoria's eagerness to dig deeper into her newfound brother's past might endanger her life - and potentially lead to a deadly twist. In recent episodes, Victoria first annoyed John by snatching his phone, keen on discovering the identity of the person behind some cryptic texts.

In a turn of events, Victoria learned the secretive correspondent was Aaron, which set her off on another investigative escapade, this time snooping through John's van in scenes aired on Monday (September 23). There, she stumbled upon dog tags with the name Aidan Moore, suggesting yet more secrets waiting to be revealed.

John's fury was unmistakable as he caught Victoria snooping, telling her in no uncertain terms to back off and sending her packing. The incident has set tongues wagging in the community, with many fearing for Victoria's safety. Emmerdale fans on a Facebook group have been voicing their worries, with one fan commenting: "Vic really needs to be careful, what does she know about John really? ".

The conversation escalated with other fans chiming in, one saying: "I was horrified she rooted around in his van. Serves her right if something bad happens." More opinions emerged, with someone adding: "She really crossed the line this time. Nerve of the woman! " and another fan hinting at potential peril for Victoria: "Is Victoria asking to get herself murdered? Stop! ". The buzz didn't stop there, as another member speculated: "John is 100% hiding something."

This Tuesday, however, John told Victoria that Aidan Moore was once his best friend and the pair had served together in the army in Afghanistan. But, there again, viewers were sceptical as they are convinced John is hiding something else. If such is the case, could Victoria catch on? And could John's biggest secret lead him to eliminate her altogether, narrowing the Sugden family down even further?
