Jake Paul mocks Conor McGregor and claims UFC star is BEGGING for fight

Jake Paul believes he would “destroy” Conor McGregor amid claims that the UFC star is “begging” for a fight.

The YouTuber turned boxer is set to take on the iconic Mike Tyson in November in Texas. But it appears that he has had offers from elsewhere.

Taking to Twitter, Paul claimed that Irish MMA star McGregor had been asking to fight him. Sharing a video on Twitter mocking McGregor, he wrote: “Conor Mcgregor's crash out needs to be studied.”

He then followed that up with a further post. Paul quoted his original post by writing: “And for the record I would destroy this guy in the ring or in the cage. Keep begging for your date hahaha.”

While Paul is preparing for his showdown with Tyson, the same cannot quite be said of McGregor. The latter was set to take on Michael Chandler but was forced to pull out of that bout after breaking his toe.

And McGregor has since confirmed that he won’t return until next year. He said: "It'll be 2025. My opponent that I had scheduled, Chandler, has got matched [with former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira in November]."

He added: "My job is just to go to the gym, be in the gym, be in shape and one thing is for sure, whenever it is and wherever it is, I will be 100 percent ready. That's all I can focus on right now."

Asked what could happen after he fulfils his UFC obligations, he replied: "I don't even know. I don't think no one in the space knows.

"I'm the highest generating fighter on planet Earth right now, in today's space. And what happens [when] I'm a free agent? I'm not so sure.

"I'd like it [McGregor’s next fight] to be Chandler. I'd like to get that squared away, I wish him well against Oliveira, but let's see how it goes."

Meanwhile, McGregor has also revealed that talks for a two-fight crossover deal with Terrence Crawford have failed to end in agreement. He said: "We were talking back and forth about a two-fight deal. He rings up Crawford in front of me the day after the fights.

“I get on the phone and say ‘Crawford, they’re here talking about you and me [fighting]. Two-fight deal, MMA first, boxing second. I know you have an extensive wrestling background, and balls the size of a Bengal tiger. They’re asking for a fight, it’ll be hundreds of millions on the line.

"'What’s up?', I said and then he goes, ‘I don’t fancy taking a kick off Conor McGregor ’, that’s what he said. You have to respect that."
