Singer Lana Del Rey reportedly had a "whirlwind romance" with Jeremy Dufrene before they married.

The 39-year-old pop star first shared pictures of herself with alligator tour guide Jeremy, 56, on her social media page in 2019 but did not strike up a relationship with him until recently, according to Bang Showbiz. After it was confirmed to People on Friday that they had tied the knot, a source claimed the singer's friends had "hoped" she had found the one she would marry.

A source told People: "It's been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana's close friends hoped she would get married. Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world." The source said that he's a "great guy," adding: "He's charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman, and he treats Lana really well."

The couple are thought to have said their vows in the place they first met. A source previously told the outlet that the wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boat tours.

It's been described as a "special place" for them, with the source adding that the "focus" of the occasion was on their "love story". According to People, the couple obtained a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court in Louisiana on Monday before she walked down the aisle three days later.

Earlier this year, the Video Games hitmaker seemingly referred to Jeremy as her partner in a social media post as she spent time with him and her loved ones. She wrote on Instagram: "Family w my guy." According to Bang Showbiz, Lana is yet to speak out publicly on the marriage, and although the pair were spotted holding hands together at a music festival in the UK last year, she has not yet confirmed their relationship status.
