Make your home look instantly spotless by just doing one essential task

If you're constantly tidying up but your home never seems to stay as neat as you'd like it to be, a woman has revealed the simple reason why.

A TikTok user known as @thecleanupcompany has suggested that the "clutter" in your house is what's stopping it from looking spotless. She advises a "massive declutter " for those wanting their "home to stay cleaner for longer".

"Get rid of all that c**p you absolutely do not need", she insisted, adding: "If you haven't used it in two months you definitely don't need it". According to her, less clutter means more "time you've got to clean because you're not running round picking up useless s**t". She also warned against "stop overspending" on unnecessary items that will only contribute to the mess.

Instead of tackling the entire house at once, she recommends focusing on "Rather than try and do the house all in one go, you're gonna focus on one room at a time" for a more manageable approach.

"Declutter and deep clean one room a day", she advised, urging people to "take your time" to ensure a thorough job. For an effective clean-up, she suggests stocking up on black bags "to get rid of all that junk", and purchasing "a new bucket, some fresh cloths, and a cleaning shopping haul at B&M" to motivate yourself with the right tools.

"Turn your music up full blast, open your windows, and chuck your gym clothes on" she encouraged.

The social media influencer also claimed if you lack the drive, you should check out her videos because she can "give you the kick up the a**e you bl**dy need". She mentioned it's "impossible" to clean everything in one go, recommending to "declutter, deep clean, and take your time".

"Be ruthless, okay? You don't need that c**p. You know you don't need it. Clutter is one of the biggest reasons your home doesn't feel as clean when you've cleaned it because it doesn't stay tidy and it doesn't feel organised."
