Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva has compared the club's rivalry with Arsenaland Liverpool in recent seasons. The Gunners have competed with both Man City and Liverpool for the Premier League title in recent years, finishing second across the last three campaigns.
The past eight seasons have seen either Liverpool or Man City be crowned Premier League champions, and now Silva has compared the rivalry with the Merseyside outfit compared to the Gunners.
Silva has been speaking ahead of Arsenal's crunch Premier League clash against Man City on Sunday afternoon, which will see the Gunners try and close the six-point gap between themselves and Liverpool in the table. The Portugal international, who was named as Man City's new captain this summer after Kevin De Bruyne's exit, has explained why he does not see Arsenal as his club's biggest rivals.

"All rivalries are different," said Silva during a pre-match interview with Sky Sports.
"I would say that Manchester United have been going through quite a difficult phase for their club over the last years - it's a rivalry because we're in the same city.
"Our biggest rival by far is Liverpool, because those are the guys that always competed with us for league titles, and they also managed to win titles.
"Then you definitely see a team like Arsenal over the years getting better and better, and being able to start fighting for those titles, even though they haven't yet reached that level of achieving it.
"So, the rivalries are quite different. Until now, I would say that our rivals, our big rivals, were always Liverpool."
Arsenal's impending clash with Man City is one of three Premier League games on Sunday afternoon. That comes after champions Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a victory over Everton at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime.
