Two former BBC radio DJs set to sign for I'm A Celeb but one labelled the broadcaster an 'a**e'

Former BBC radio presenter is expected to join this years line-up of Get Me Out Of Here.

TV bosses are keen for the star to express the opinionated side of his character after he made it known his views on the , after he claimed the broadcaster didn't know its "a**e from it's elbow", last year. This came after he left the corporation following 12 years of devoted service.

Richard, 62, is no stranger to reality TV as he has also appeared on and won the hearts of the nation, who were keen to see him hold up the glitterball in 2017. Along with him, it's believed according to reports, that another BBC radio DJ Dean McCullough, who is 30 years Richard's junior, is also set to make his way into the Australian jungle.

The series, which is set to start next month, has already bagged to be part of the show. And her fee is reportedly in excess of Nigel Farage's £1.5million pay cheque. A TV insider told The Sun: "As always, the jungle bosses have cleverly put together a sensational line-up guaranteed to make for compulsive viewing. Rev Coles will have a variety of tales to tell from his wild days as a pop star in the Eighties, through to performing on Strictly and his later life as a man of the cloth."

They added: "Meanwhile, Dean isn’t known for being a shrinking violet and is sure to be outspoken — plus he’s one of the youngest men lined up for the show so far." Reverend Richard left his role on Radio 4's Saturday Live show amid a dark cloud last year, after 12 years on the BBC show.

According to The Sun, his departure was hidden away in an email, five days before his exit. At the time, Richard said he "felt rather hurtled towards the exit." He added, while speaking about his BBC exit: "You devote your energies to it and yet they perhaps don’t always respond with similar devotion. It’s a great national institution and more power to its elbow. It would just be nice if it could distinguish that elbow from its a**e sometimes."

So far, I'm A Celeb has managed to reportedly convince Coleen, judge Oti Mabuse, , Coronation Street's , who played Tyrone, and social media influencer GK Barry. A spokesperson for the show told the publication: "We don’t comment on speculation."
