A man who left hospital before doctors could treat a serious head injury is being sought by police.
The man, believed to be named Mick or Michael, was admitted to Sunderland Royal Hospital today. However, he left before his treatment for a head injury was completed.
He left the hospital at 2.15pm, heading towards Hylton Road. Initial enquiries suggest he is in his 50s, approximately 6ft tall with white and grey hair, and was last seen wearing a grey jumper, grey jeans and a brown jacket.
Northumbria Police has urged anyone with information to contact them via direct message on social media, the live chat function on their website, or by calling 101, quoting reference number NP-20240916-0608.
