To provide better services to employees, the government is continuously digitizing services related to the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Now, EPFO members can directly access key documents related to their PF accounts through the DigiLocker app. Users can even check their PF balance directly through the app. They can also view and download documents like UAN cards, Pension Payment Orders (PPOs), and PF certificates.
It's worth noting that all these features were previously available only on the UMANG app, but now members can easily access their account details through the DigiLocker app. Let's explore how you can check your PF balance using the DigiLocker app.
How to check your PF balance using the DigiLocker app?
First, download and install the DigiLocker app on your smartphone.
If you're using the app for the first time, register and log in to your account.
After the login process, you'll need to link your EPFO account to DigiLocker.
Enter your Aadhaar card details to complete the linking.
After this, your PF account will be synced with DigiLocker.
After the syncing process is complete, users can check their documents such as their UAN card, PPO, and PF passbook by going to the EPFO section.
Users can also check their latest PF balance and transaction details within the app.
How to check your PF balance without an internet connection?
Even if you don't have an internet connection, there's no need to worry. You can also check your PF account balance through a missed call or SMS. To check your balance via SMS, send a message from the mobile number registered with your UAN. First, type "EPFOHO" in the message and send it to 7738299899. Within a few seconds, you will receive your PF account details via SMS.
