WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature that makes organizing stickers easier. This instant messaging client from Meta Platforms now allows users to create custom sticker packs without leaving the app. Users can organize their saved stickers into multiple folders so that the process of finding the right sticker and sending it to loved ones is fast. WhatsApp has also given the facility that now users can share the entire sticker pack instead of sending individual stickers.
Custom Sticker Packs on WhatsApp
WhatsApp started testing the creation of custom sticker packs in October 2024. Earlier this year, this feature was rolled out for beta users of WhatsApp Android, but then it was only available to users registered in the Google Play Beta Programme. Now it is not so.
With the latest update, the custom sticker pack feature is available on both WhatsApp Android and iOS platforms. This eliminates the need to create custom sticker packs using third-party apps.
Announcing the rollout of the feature, the instant messaging platform said, "You can now create your custom sticker packs and share them directly in your chats, so your friends and family can express themselves using your custom stickers." WhatsApp will now show a new pencil icon in the sticker sheet along with GIF, avatar, and sticker options.
How to create a custom sticker pack:
Open Stickers.
Tap on the pencil icon.
Select the stickers you want to add.
Select the three-dot option from the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Select the Add to Sticker Pack option.
Users can set the name of the folder and the custom pack will appear along with other stickers saved on WhatsApp. Users can send a sticker separately or will get the option to share the entire sticker pack at once. According to reports, this new feature is available on both Android and iOS.
However, it seems that only stickers created by users can be saved in custom sticker packs. This feature does not work for stickers created by the instant messaging platform.
