The body of an 18 year old girl was found stuffed inside a suitcase, was first discovered by ragpickers, who said that they ran away in shock after witnessing the disturbing sight.
According to the police, the suitcase was first discovered by ragpickers who picked it up thinking it may contain valuables. As soon as they saw the face of the 18-year-old girl, the ragpickers ran away from the spot. A passer-by saw the blue trolley bag and when he picked it up he was shocked to find the girl’s face peeping through the zipper. The passer-by immediately informed the police about the girl.
After receiving an update, the police went to investigate the incident and discovered a blue trolley bag just metres away from the bridge. The body was found in a blue trolley bag near the Chandanpura railway bridge.
What has police discovered?
The police suspect that the girl has been strangled to death as no injury marks have been found on her body.
Police also didn’t find any identity card on her so they have circulated her photo to every police station in the city.
Suryanagar police have lodged a case a murder and have started the investigation into the case.
A senior police official said, initial investigations show that the suitcase must have been thrown out by someone on the train, early Wednesday. The suitcase rolled down a few meters before it stopped.
According to Railway police, they will not be taking up this case as the trolley bag wasn’t found on the railway tracks.
The incident comes after a body of a 32-year-old woman, Guri Khedekar, was discovered inside a suitcase near Ambedkar Apartment in Doddanekundi Village, Bengaluru, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South-East Bengaluru, Sarah Fathima.
Khedekar, a native of Maharashtra, was married to Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, 36. The couple resided within the Hulimavu police station limits.
DCP South-East Bengaluru said, "The body of a 32-year-old woman, Guri Khedekar, was found near Ambedkar Apartment in Doddanekundi Village, Bengaluru. She was the wife of Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar (36 years). Her body was found in a suitcase. The husband and wife were living within Hulimavu police station limits. Both belonged to Maharashtra."
