Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Delhi Airport has announced that flight operations remain normal, though some services may be impacted due to changes in airspace and heightened security protocols. In a post on X, airport authorities urged passengers to check with their airlines for real-time updates and to rely only on official information.
" Delhi Airport operations remain normal. Some flights are impacted due to changing airspace conditions and heightened security. Please check with your airlines for the latest updates. Avoid sharing unverified information," the statement read.
Air India and Akasa Airlines have issued separate advisories requesting passengers to arrive at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure. This follows a directive from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) enforcing enhanced security measures at airports nationwide.

Air India wrote, "#TravelAdvisory: In view of an order by the BCAS on enhanced measures at airports, passengers across India are advised to arrive at least three hours prior to scheduled departure to ensure smooth check-in and boarding. Check-in closes 75 mins before departure."
Akasa Airlines echoed the advisory, urging travelers to reach airports early and to carry valid government-approved photo identification. Passengers are also allowed only one handbag of up to 7 kg and must undergo secondary security checks before boarding.
SpiceJet advised its passengers to arrive 3 hours prior to check-in in an advisory issued on X: "We request all our passengers to reach the airport at least 3 hours before departure, as per BCAS guidelines, to ensure timely security checks and boarding," SpiceJet said.
Meanwhile, IndiGo voiced similar concerns and noted: "In these extraordinary times, heightened security measures are taken up across all airports. We request you to allow some extra time for your journey to accommodate security checks and formalities. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation."

“To save time, we encourage you to check in online via our website or mobile app,” Akasa added.
These advisories come in the wake of ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army, which reportedly resorted to firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri, Kupwara, Tangdhar, and Karnah sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.
