Did Virat Kohli just turn priest? Odisha temple video made the internet look twice, watch video

A video from the Ananta Vasudev Temple in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is going viral — not for religious reasons, but because a man in it looks just like Team India’s star cricketer, Virat Kohli.

The man was seen serving prasad at the temple in Odisha. A video of this moment was first shared by food vlogger Pratham Arora on YouTube. It later went viral when someone named Sunil the Cricketer reposted it on X (formerly Twitter), where it has already been watched over a million times.

In the video, someone is filming the temple while waiting to get prasad. When the camera showed the man serving it, viewers were shocked by how much he looked like Kohli — wearing a simple dhoti, with a moustache and a similar face.
The video caption read, “ I am convincing myself that person is not Virat Kohli.” That one line was enough to get people talking.

Social media users had a lot of fun reacting.
One person joked, “So Kohli didn’t go to the UK, he’s at the temple now!”
Another said, “He looks more like Satish Ray with extra weight and a beard.”

Many added funny comments like:

  • “Same same, but different?”
  • “Virat Kohli after retirement, now in Puri.”
  • “Bro finally became the pooja-path type.”
  • “He’s Virat’s twin!”
  • “But wasn’t there an RCB match today?”
