A businessman from Punjab, Gurdip Dev Bath, has presented a Rolex watch worth a whopping Rs 1 crore to Rajinder Singh Roopra, the contractor who built his dream home, a luxurious 9-acre estate in Zirakpur. Bath gifted the luxury Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller in appreciation of Roopra’s dedication to quality, adherence to timelines, and exceptional craftsmanship.
A Modern Day Fort
The estate, built to resemble a traditional Rajasthani fort, includes grand features like a fountain surrounded by lush landscaping and is guarded by statues of roaring lions at the entrance. The white fortress-style residence is enclosed by a high boundary wall, boasting spacious halls and unique architectural details.
According to an NDTV report, the gifted watch is the Yellow Rolesor version with a Jubilee bracelet and Champagne Dial, listed on Rolex’s website at approximately Rs 1 crore. It also comes with a magnificent champagne coloured dial.
The project involved a team of over 200 workers daily and was completed within two years, fulfilling Bath’s vision of a grand and timeless home, as designed by architect Ranjodh Singh.
Bath told NDTV, “This is more than just a home; it’s a testament to elegance and luxury.” He further praised Roopra’s commitment to deadlines and meticulous attention to detail, saying that the contractor exceeded the family’s expectations. Roopra, from Shahkot, Punjab, expressed that working on such a grand project was both fulfilling and demanding, crediting his entire team for the realization of Bath’s vision.
