More about The Murky Stream

Set in the lawless era of Joseon, The Murky Stream unfolds in a land where justice has all but vanished, and the once-pristine Gyeonggang River now flows with corruption. The story follows Si Yool (played by Rowoon), a man with a hidden past who chooses a rebellious path, and Choi Eun (Shin Ye Eun), a principled figure known for her fairness and intelligence. Alongside them are Jeong Cheon (Park Seo Ham), whose goal is to become an upright government official, and Mu Deok (Park Ji Hwan), a character admired for his wisdom.

The series will be directed by Choo Chang Min, best known for the critically acclaimed film Masquerade, and written by Cheon Sung Il, the creative mind behind Netflix's hit All of Us Are Dead. Backed by NPIO Entertainment, the studio behind successful titles like The Red Sleeve, King the Land, and Jeongnyeon, the project has generated buzz for its strong creative team and impressive cast lineup.
