Mumbai Indians became the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs by defeating Delhi Capitals by 59 runs in an important match of IPL 2025. After bringing the five-time champion Mumbai Indians closer to its sixth trophy, captain Hardik Pandya praised his bowlers and batsmen.

Surya Bhau's brilliance was seen.
On Wednesday, Mumbai Indians won at the Wankhede Stadium thanks to the half-century of 'Player of the Match' Suryakumar Yadav (73 not out), followed by three wickets each by Mitchell Santner and Jasprit Bumrah.
Heartfelt praise for Bumrah-Santner
When Pandya was asked after the match whether having Bumrah and Santner in the team is a 'luxury', he said, 'Absolutely. I can put them in to bowl whenever I want. They do their job with so much control and perfection that it makes my job easy.'
All credit to Surya and Naman Dheer
Pandya said, 'We initially thought that a score of 180 runs would be good. But now it seems that reaching 160 runs would have been great. But the way Naman Dheer and Suryakumar finished the innings, especially Naman, the way he hit on a difficult track, it was fantastic.'
The Delhi captain told where the mistake happened?
Delhi Capitals acting captain Faf du Plessis said, 'We were excellent on the field, the players showed great spirit. The bowlers performed well. It was not an easy pitch to bat on. We lost the match in the last two overs and gave them almost 50 runs.'
