Kajari Teej Vrat 2025 Puja Vidhi: Kajari Teej fast is considered very important for married women. It is said to be a fast that provides unbroken good fortune. This year the holy festival of Kajari Teej will be celebrated on 12 August 2025. It is believed that women get the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati by fasting on this day with rituals. Unmarried girls also keep this fast with the wish of a good life partner.

When is Kajari Teej?

This festival is celebrated every year on the Tritiya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month, three days after Rakshabandhan and fifteen days after Hariyali Teej. This year Tritiya Tithi will start on 11 August 2025 at 10:33 am and end on 12 August 2025 at 8:40 am. According to Udaya Tithi, the fast will be kept on 12 August.

Kajari Teej Puja Vidhi

Women who are observing fast for the first time should take a vow of fasting after bathing and meditation in the morning. Install the idol or picture of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati on a platform decorated with green cloth in the north-east corner, north or east direction of the house. Then worship with flowers, fruits, incense, lamp, roli, akshat, and makeup items. Offer makeup items especially to Mother Parvati.

After the puja, recite or listen to the story of Kajari Teej, then after performing aarti, bow to God and Goddess and take blessings of the elderly women of the house. End the fast at night after seeing the moon and offering arghya.

Rules of Kajari Teej fast

Wear green clothes and 16 makeup items on the day of the fast.

If health is favorable, keep the fast without water.

Washing or cutting hair is prohibited on this day.

Avoid anger, criticism and negative feelings.

Brahma Muhurat will be from 4:23 am to 5:06 am.
Vijaya Muhurat will be from 2:38 pm to 3:31 pm.
Godhuli Muhurat is from 7:03 pm to 7:25 pm.
Nishita Kaal Muhurat will be from 12:05 am to 12:48 am.
Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be from 11:52 am to 5:49 am on August 13.
Abhijeet Muhurat will be from 12:02 pm to 3-12:50 pm.
