Meanwhile, Gill and right-arm seamer Akash Deep played central roles in the Asian Giants' mammoth 337-run win over England at Edgbaston, thereby levelling the series ahead of the Lord's showdown, beginning on July 10.
Gill, who is easily the highest run-getter of the series, hit 269 and 161 to gain the Player of the Match award. Meanwhile, Akash Deep, who replaced Jasprit Bumrah, did a top-notch job, picking up ten wickets in the match, including six in the second innings.
