"Simply snap a photo, upload it with your location and track its repair — all in real-time. Let’s all work together to make our roads smoother and safer," Singh added.
Meanwhile, the PCMC has made all the necessary precautions for the monsoon. "Quick Response Teams (QRTs) comprising Civil Junior Engineers, Health Sanitary Inspectors and four workers, will be deployed across all zones for swift action during emergencies. Night rescue squads will be activated during high-intensity rainfall or red alert conditions. Mock drills for electricity back-up systems in ICUs and critical wards of hospitals like YCMH will be conducted to ensure uninterrupted care. Coordination with schools is being strengthened to ensure access to keys and facilities during evacuations," a release stated.
"Aapda Mitra disaster management volunteers will be mobilised for community-level response. Post-flood clean-up planning has been made an integral part of the strategy to avoid secondary hazards. IEC (Information, Education, Communication) campaigns for dengue prevention will be rolled out to reduce the risk of disease outbreaks. 21 flood relief shelters have been set up in the riverbank and slum areas. Boats and rescue equipment are ready, and coordination has been established with the NDRF and local NGOs," it added.
