A drunk man climbed a 70-foot jackfruit tree near the Bengaluru Police Commissioner's office before jumping to the ground after demanding a cigarette from police officers. Despite officers' efforts to catch him with a tarpaulin to prevent injury, the man reportedly sustained serious hip injuries from the fall.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when the man climbed the tree to pluck jackfruit, drawing a crowd of perplexed onlookers. An emerging video shows the man dangling precariously from a branch.
According to reports, a security guard at Embassy Apartments on Ali Asker Road first spotted the man attempting to pluck fruit from the tree. When asked to come down, the man climbed higher instead, eventually losing his footing and becoming stranded on a branch.

After multiple requests were ignored, officers resorted to threatening language in an effort to compel him down. Startled by this approach, the man lost his balance, dangled momentarily, and then jumped from approximately 50 feet.
The injured man was transported to Bowring Hospital for treatment. His identity remains unknown at this time.
