West Bengal News: Class 4 Girl Killed In Bomb Blast During TMC Victory Celebrations

Kolkata: Bombing took place during the celebrations after Trinamool Congress (TMC) won the Kaliganj bypoll on Monday.

A class four student lost her life due to the bombing. The incident took place in Barochandgar under the Kaliganj police station.

Notably, the explosion took place while counting was underway.

“I am shocked and deeply saddened at the death of a young girl in an explosion at Barochandgar. My prayers and thoughts are with the family in their hour of grief. Police shall take strong and decisive legal action against the culprits at the earliest,” said Banerjee.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Agnimitra Paul condemning the incident said, “There is no place to hide the grief. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made this state a place for anti-socials.”
