The early arrival of the monsoons has not only provided relief from soaring summer temperatures, but also brought good news for travellers, with FLY91 announcing special discounts across its network.
The regional airline is offering up to Rs 300 off on tickets across 20 routes which it currently operates, including five key sectors linking Goa. The ‘Monsoon Offer’ is valid on tickets purchased between June 1 and June 30, and can be availed for travel until August 31, 2025.
The airline, which has its headquarters in Goa, announced the ‘Monsoon Offer’ following a recent call by the Tourism Minister of Goa, Rohan Khaunte, to incentivise travellers to visit Goa during the — a time when tourist footfalls generally tend to dip.
Khaunte had announced the process of outlining a tourism-focused strategy to promote Goa during the monsoon season, involving a collaboration between airline partners and online travel agencies (OTA) to drive growth in the travel sector.
GETTING THE DISCOUNT
The discounted fares apply to flights connecting Goa (GOX) with Hyderabad (HYD), Jalgaon (JLG), Agatti (AGX), Pune (PNQ), Sindhudurg (SDW) and Solapur (SSE).
Additional routes covered under the discount fare campaign include Pune–Sindhudurg, Bengaluru–Sindhudurg, Hyderabad–Sindhudurg, Jalgaon-Hyderabad, Jalgaon-Pune and Goa–Solapur, incentivising travellers travelling on the sectors during the monsoon season.
“The one-month ‘Monsoon Offer’ is FLY91’s way of making regional air more accessible and affordable during the season," said Manoj Chacko, MD and CEO of FLY91.
"With tourist footfalls typically dipping during the monsoons, this initiative is aimed at incentivising travel to Goa," he added. It will also support the government’s broader strategy to promote Goa as a vibrant, all-season destination, including during the monsoons.
