The police reached the spot and started investigation. The entire area has been sealed and checking is being done. However, no FIR has been registered in the case yet.
What did the police say about the bomb-making material found?Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) S. Girish has confirmed the discovery of gelatin sticks and detonators outside the bus stand. S. Girish said that six gelatin sticks and some detonators were found in a carry bag outside the toilet of Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand. Investigation is underway. An FIR will also be registered. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that patrolling has also been increased in the bus stand area. Additional police force has also been deployed in the stand and surrounding areas. People are being appealed not to touch any suspicious object and inform the police immediately.
Bomb disposal squad defused the explosives
On the other hand, after getting information about the explosive material found on the spot, the police called the bomb disposal squad with immediate effect. The bomb squad has deactivated the gelatin and detonators from the suspicious bag found near the bus stand. Kalasipalya bus stand is a very crowded area. Thousands of passengers come and go here every day. Security has been increased. Police force has been deployed in the entire area.
