Christian Norgaard is on the brink of completing a dream transfer to Arsenal after being given the the green light to undergo a medical by Brentford.
Mirror Football revealed last week that Norgaard, 31, was on the Gunners' radar as part of an overhaul of their engine room. And with Thomas Partey poised to follow Jorginho out of The Emirates as a free agent, Arsenal have moved quickly to raid their London neighbours for Norgaard.
The Dane was the subject of a £9.3million bid on Wednesday morning, which was promptly rebuffed by Brentford.
But talks continued throughout the day and an agreement for the Bees captain to join Arsenal has now been reached, as per BBC Sport.
Norgaard will shortly undergo a medical before finalising his switch ahead of Arsenal's return to pre-season - and he will not be the only new face at London Colney.

Arsenal are also poised to trigger the £5m release clause in Kepa Arrizabalaga's contract after missing out on a deal for Joan Garcia.
And the Chelsea goalkeeper is also poised to undergo medical checks before putting pen to paper on a deal to swap the Blues for Arsenal, joining Norgaard in a shrewd double swoop.
Kepa will provide fresh competition for David Raya, who will start the new season as Arsenal's No.1 shot-stopper.

Further signings are expected once deals for Norgaard and Kepa are wrapped up. Adding an elite striker to Mikel Arteta's squad is Arsenal's top priority and they remain in contention to sign Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko.
The latter has emerged as Arsenal's primary target, though suggestions are that they are growing frustrated with progress on a deal. Gyokeres, coincidentally, is understood to have his heart set on a move to Arsenal despite interest from Manchester United.
Martin Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad playmaker, is also poised to join Arsenal this summer. He was in London last week to put the finishing touches to his switch from Spain, though the deal is not expected to be formally completed until next month.
The Gunners are also courting a left winger and are prepared to bide their time in their pursuit of Real Madrid's Rodrygo, who could move after the FIFA Club World Cup.
