fans are convinced a major twist is on the horizon after Teddy Mitchell on the soap. Viewers now believe Shireen could be about to come back from the dead after going missing from Walford four years ago.
In dramatic scenes that aired last Thursday night (April 24), Teddy overheard Nicola trying to convince Ravi Gulati to help move a body buried at Paradise Park. This turned out to be the body of Shireen, Harry’s ex-girlfriend, who previously vanished under mysterious circumstances. Last week Nicola’s original accomplice Benji refused to help her move the corpse, revealing in the process that he had buried her missing diamond bracelet alongside Shireen’s body to link her to the crime.
A desperate Nicola attempted to bribe Ravi with £10,000 to clean up the mess, but once Ravi learned exactly what it was she wanted him to dig up, he turned on her.

When Teddy walked in on their heated exchange, Ravi didn’t hesitate to tell him everything. This resulted in some fiery exchanges between Teddy and Nicola on the latest instalment of the soap.
Teddy confronted Nicola ahead of her birthday party, snapping: "I don't know who you are and maybe I never did. But what I do know is my son deserves to know the truth." Nicola tearfully tried to deny that she was responsible for Shireen's death, arguing: "This is Benji's mess!"
She claimed she only asked Benji to scare the girl so she would leave Walford, but he took things too far and she ended up dead. However, Teddy was not buying it.
He sped off to Harry's Barn to tell their son the truth about what happened to his late girlfriend, before Nicola managed to plead with him to keep it a secret, pointing out that Harry would be more upset to find out about Shireen's demise than if he went on in ignorant bliss.
Teddy agreed not to break the sad news to Harry, but lashed out at Nicola, warning: "Save the crocodile tears. You only care about yourself, you always have." He then demanded she leave town, adding: "Tomorrow work starts in Paradise...we're gonna find that bracelet."
Although viewers were not surprised to see Nicola's schemes fall apart, they did make one shock prediction after seeing her try to dig her way out of the situation by looking for the body - and the incriminating bracelet.
One fan posted saying: "I'm convinced Shireen isn't really buried there or dead at all." Another agreed, chiming in: "Time for and I bet Shireen is not dead."
Meanwhile, someone else is hoping for the ultimate revenge twist. They giggled: "I hope Shireen is alive and she comes back with her child. Nicola’s face would be a picture." A fourth fan even went a step further, darkly saying: "Shireen please return and murder all the new Mitchells and Zach."
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
