New York woman puts flat up for swap like The Holiday – but only for one UK city

As the cosy season approaches, many of us are eagerly anticipating snuggling up on the sofa with a hot beverage, engrossed in our favourite film. Especially around Christmas, The Holiday, featuring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, is a firm favourite. In this beloved movie, the two leading ladies swap homes, cars, and lives – a change that ultimately transforms them for the better.

Many have watched the film and fantasised about emulating Cameron's character Amanda - trading their American residences for a quaint English cottage. However, one woman has taken this dream a step further, going viral after offering her New York City home in exchange for a London property.

Lohanny, who confesses she is "living life like a movie", used TikTok over the weekend to broadcast her proposition. Lohanny stated: "I live in NYC! Does anyone in London want to switch places with me for 2-3 weeks? Must be pet friendly because my dog would join me."

She continued: "Direct message me on Instagram. I'm thinking Sept to early Oct. No roommates - a one bed flat preferred. Send me videos of your space."

She showcased her modern and spacious kitchen and living area, complete with a Juliet balcony, a bedroom boasting fantastic views, and a bathroom equipped with a bath.

Her video has garnered over two million views as people likened her plan to The Holiday. One viewer enthused: "This is the best idea I've ever seen in my life."

Another chimed in: "Like the movie and then y'all fall in love with each other's brothers."

One movie enthusiast penned: "This is giving The Holiday and I'm here for it." Another chimed in: "Bring me back when someone switches this could be a whole series."
