John Power has praised the Oasis comeback but says he thinks Saturday’s second gig in Cardiff was better than the opening night.
The singer is part of support act Cast on the tour and was watching both Cardiff Oasis shows from side of stage. He described Liam and Noel Gallagher’s band as the “biggest since the Beatles”.
Looking back on last weekend in Cardiff, John said: “I watched it all. It was electric. Like, you know? I mean, there was a palpable feeling of energy all around the stadium in the lead up to the opening night. I mean, you could feel it everywhere, in the canteen, in the corridors, everywhere. You could just feel like this the first night.

"And people were like, really excited. I mean, we just kind of walked on stage, we struck that opening chord, that was the first chord of the tour, and we were standing in the eye of the hurricane, is how I describe it.
"Because, you know, you're just in that present moment, playing your rock and roll and playing your music. And it was just a great feeling.”
Asked by Radio 2 DJ about the two nights, he added: “The beautiful thing about live music, is that it might be the same script, same set list, but every song, you know, every performance, every night, is different.
"And as I say, it's a perception as well. Depending on where you're standing, how you're feeling, who you are, what the song means to you, all these things matter.
“I do think maybe the second night there was a slight, you know, thing of we got that first night under our belt. And I do think everyone was really quite kind of excited for the first night.
“And then you start hitting your groove. You know what I mean? As the shows go on, everyone finds their little groove. We'll be like, Okay, we know what works now,”
Frontman John and Cast, who have a new single out called Poison Vine, will again take to the stage first in Heaton Park for the run of Oasis Manchester shows.
He said: “I think tonight, the opening night in Manchester, the homecoming show, I think it's going to be crazy.I really just think it's a bit like another opening night again.
“it's like a Northern Soul, rock and roll vibe, you know, ourselves, Richard Ashcroft, and then obviously Oasis, the biggest band since the Beatles.”
Cast have their own tour later in the year and you can pre-order their new album Yeah Yeah Yeah which is out January 30.
