Raheem Sterling is waiting on another Chelsea exit strategy before the end of the transfer window. Fulham are interested in the 30-year-old England winger who will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge if a deal can be done before Monday’s deadline.
However, Chelsea have yet to bring forward a plan to enable Sterling to leave the club as they also look to offload players to enable them to bring in the likes of Alejandro Garnacho.
Chelsea winger Sterling, who has won 82 caps, is by far and away the biggest name on the list because of his hugely successful career with Manchester City but now finds himself surplus to requirements.
Sterling still has two years left on his contract at Chelsea, would prefer to stay in London and has been linked with Fulham and West Ham. There is no chance of him going to Besiktas despite reports in Turkey.
But Fulham are likely to bide their time ahead of Monday’s window knowing full well that last summer Chelsea were demanding big money for either a loan or permanent switch.

However, Chelsea then offered Sterling to Arsenal on loan at the last minute and covered the majority of his £350,000-a-week wages.
The move did not pay off and Sterling only had limited opportunities which also meant that he could not rediscover his best form and fitness.
A switch to another ambitious London club may enable him to regain some confidence and also help him get back towards his best having been one of England’s best players in the last ten years.
