The White Lotus fans finally realise Walton Goggins' real name as he signs up to SNL

Fans ofhave been left gobsmacked after discovering Walton Goggins' real name. The actor plays the role of Rick Hatchett in the popular drama, but viewers were stunned by the latest revelation.

After it was announced the Hollywood star, 53, would be appearing on , fans took to social media to share their confusion by his real name. Taking to /X, fans shared their belief that he had been using a stage name all this time.

"Damn….his name Walton Goggins??? This whole time I thought his name was Walter Goggins lol,"confessed one.

Another added: "'wait..... you're telling me his name isn't waltER goggins", while another shared the same disbelief, writing: "What do you mean his name isn't Walter Goggins?!

"I've been in love since Righteous Gemstones season 1 and I am JUST learning it is in fact WALTON??? Brb while I take attention to detail off my resume. Walton I am so sorry my love."

The actor was indeed born Walton Goggins, despite fans initially thinking otherwise.

His upcoming stint on the long-running stateside satire show comes after they took aim at his Whit Lotus co-star . It was announced this week that he would be in the lineup for the 50th season, as too was Scarlett Johansson's involvement.

The show was shrouded in controversy due to a recent skit involving Aimee. The actress has always been proud of her teeth but, in a cruel SNL skit, Sarah Sherman impersonated her whilst using exaggerated prosthetic teeth. The sketch was of US President and his team spending time at the fictional White Lotus hotel.

, but this time, she didn’t hesitate to express her disappointment over the SNL skit. She took to her Stories to say that while she didn’t mind being made fun of “when it’s clever and in good spirits” there “must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way” to do so.

“I did find the ‘SNL’ thing mean and unfunny xo. (Felt righteous, might delete later)," she said before adding: "Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago. Yes, take the p*** for sure - that’s what the show is about - but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?."

Aimee later showcased Sarah sending her flowers following her upset over the skit. Walton and Aimee Lou are r and Walton initially prised the sketch. In a now deleted post, he wrote: "Hahahahahhahaha. Amazzzingggg."

Eagle-eyed fans recently noticed Aimee and Walton were no longer following each other on social media, with some suggesting he had blocked her.

The alleged blocking appears to have come out of nowhere after previously describing Aimee as a “very special person in my life” in an interview with The Telegraph.
