Real data on the number of deaths due to corona has come out, which includes shocking figures. This has been revealed in a report released by the Registrar General of India.
Covid Mortality Data: How many deaths occurred due to Covid in India? Even today this question is in the minds of many people. Now this has been revealed in the new report of the government. This report shows that the real impact of Covid in India was much more than the government figures. This data confirms that many deaths were not reported and the picture of the real loss is now coming to the fore.
The report shows that about 20 lakh more deaths were recorded in India in the year 2021, which is being counted as the deadliest year of the Covid pandemic. According to government data, these deaths are much more than the number that was officially reported at that time.
Where the data came from
This report has been released by the Registrar General of India (RGI), which includes three reports. SRS Report 2021, CRS Report 2021 and MCCD Report 2021... It is clear from these figures that the number of deaths due to corona in 2021 was actually much higher, but they were not fully reported on time.
What's in the report
Covid deaths reported by states: 3.32 lakh
Medically Certified Deaths (MCCD): 4.13 lakh
Deaths in 2021 over 2020 (according to CRS): 21 lakh
Deaths in 2021 over 2019 (according to CRS): 25.8 lakh
Deaths in 2021 over 2020 (according to SRS): 21.3 lakh
Deaths in 2021 over 2019 (according to SRS): 19.5 lakh
Death toll from 2018 to 2021
There were 82 lakh deaths in 2018
83 lakh people died in 2019
81 lakh people lost their lives in 2020
A total of 1.03 crore deaths occurred in 2021
2 million extra deaths
It is clear from this new report that in 2021 alone, there were 20 lakh additional deaths suddenly. Then the Covid pandemic had wreaked havoc. A major reason for this is also believed to be that due to lockdown and lack of reporting, many deaths did not come in the official records, due to which the correct data could not be revealed. Now that once this information has come to light, many questions are being raised.
