Where is the tallest statue of Lord Ganesha?The world's tallest statue of Lord Ganesha is located in Khlong Khuen Ganesh International Park in Chachoengsao Province, Thailand. The statue is about 39 meters (128 feet) tall, of which the height of the statue is about 30 meters and the rest of the height is its huge pedestal. Its grandeur can be gauged from the fact that it is as tall as a 12-storey building.
What is special about this statue?Another specialty of this statue is that it is made from 854 bronze pieces. In this statue, Lord Ganesha has four hands, in which he is holding sugarcane, mango, jackfruit, and banana, which are considered to be the symbols of agriculture and greenery of Thailand. A huge mouse is also seated near the feet of the statue, which has a modak in its hands. Not only this, the park in which this statue is located is spread over about 40,000 sq. m. and is one of the most famous parks of Thailand.
