Exercise: According to Dr London, another effective and natural way to control blood pressure is to incorporate regular exercise into your routine. He advocates a combination of aerobic and resistance training to improve heart health. Aerobic exercises, such as brisk walking, cycling or swimming, strengthen the heart by pumping blood more efficiently. On the other hand, resistance training, such as weight lifting or body weight exercises, helps build muscle and improve blood flow.

Quit alcohol: If you suffer from high blood pressure, limit alcohol consumption or quit it altogether. In fact, alcohol consumption can narrow blood vessels and increase pressure on the heart.
