Former captain of the Indian cricket team and famous as 'King' Virat Kohli also reached to watch the match between Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur on Monday. During this, Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma was also seen with him. Djokovic won this match 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 and entered the quarter-finals. This veteran player from Serbia will play in the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the 63rd time. Virat Kohli was surprised to see Djokovic's game. After the match, Kohli also praised Djokovic in his Instagram story. King Kohli wrote, 'What a match! It was a common thing for the gladiator (Djokovic) as always.' Kohli is currently in London with his wife Anushka. However, he has not yet watched the match of the Indian cricket team against England. Kohli had praised Team India after their victory at Edgbaston and called the victory historic. There are still three Tests left. Kohli is expected to reach the Test starting from July 10 at Lord's in London. Kohli recently retired from Tests. Now he will be seen playing only in ODIs for Team India. The five-match series between India and England is currently tied at 1-1.
Djokovic made a tremendous comeback.
Apart from Kohli, eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer was also present in the Royal Box to watch the match of seven-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic. Sixth seed Djokovic was in danger of being eliminated at Wimbledon the earliest since 2016, but he recovered from a bad start and defeated de Minaur 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to enter the quarter-finals. 38-year-old Djokovic had a bad start and lost a very one-sided first set. Djokovic then made a comeback and won the next two sets to take a 2-1 lead.
Faces Cobolli in quarter-finals
De Minaur once again dominated the fourth set to take a 4-1 lead, but former world number one Djokovic won the last five games and 14 of the last 15 points to win the match. Djokovic, who is challenging for his eighth Wimbledon and record-setting 25th Grand Slam singles title, will face Italy's 22nd seed Flavio Cobolli in the next round. Cobolli defeated 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 to reach the last eight of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. Djokovic will play in the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the 63rd time.
Yuki-Galloway out of Wimbledon men's doubles
India's Yuki Bhambri and his American partner Robert Galloway lost in a tough match against Spain's Marcel Granollers and Argentina's Horacio Zeballos in the third round of the Wimbledon men's doubles on Monday. The 16th-seeded pair of Yuki and Galloway gave a tough fight to their fourth-seeded opponents, but the result was not in their favor. They lost 4-6, 6-3, 6-7 (10) in a thrilling match that lasted two hours and nine minutes. With Yuki's exit, the Indian challenge at Wimbledon ended.
