Royal Enfield, the renowned motorcycle manufacturer based in Chennai, is set to launch its first-ever electric bike range tonight during the EICMA event in Milan, Italy. This new line of electric bikes aims to enhance urban mobility, promising a sophisticated, nimble, and connected riding experience.
The company states, “We have been relentlessly adapting since 1901. Moving with the times and innovating to meet new challenges has always been part of Royal Enfield’s DNA. Our move into the world of electric two-wheelers is no different.”
While details about the new bikes remain limited, hints suggest an innovative design featuring the brand's signature circular LED headlamp and potential options for a monochrome or dual-tone fuel tank finish.
Royal Enfield is known for its high-performance motorcycles, and it is expected that these electric models will incorporate elements of performance and practicality, appealing to urban riders. The new electric bikes are anticipated to offer a range of approximately 150 kilometers, targeting the growing urban mobility segment.
The timeline for their launch in India remains unclear, but they are expected to arrive shortly after their global debut.
