Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's Documentary 'Turtle Walker' to Premiere Internationally

In an inspiring journey along India's vast coastline, the documentary Turtle Walker highlights the remarkable story of Satish Bhaskar, who dedicated his life to protecting endangered sea turtles. Co-produced by acclaimed filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the film captures Satish's mission to identify and preserve the nesting beaches of these vulnerable creatures.

Zoya shared, “Turtle Walker, directed by Taira Malaney, chronicles the incredible journey of Satish Bhaskar, who walked nearly every inch of India’s coastline to find nesting sites for sea turtles. His indomitable spirit has helped save these enigmatic creatures from extinction and serves as a reminder of how precious our planet is.” Reema Kagti also expressed excitement, stating, “This project aligns with our dream to showcase inspiring, untold stories from India on a global stage. We are thrilled to announce that the film will premiere at DOC NYC.”
