WARNING: This article contains spoilers from All Creatures Great And Small.

All Creatures Great And Small has been teasing romance between Siegfried and Mrs Hall since the show first began.

Channel 5 fans were over the moon when the heartwarming period drama returned for a fifth outing last week, with James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) back on the farm following his stint with the Royal Air Force.

The second episode saw him try to get to grips with normal life again, all the while juggling the responsibilities of a new parent that had been previously left to his wife Helen (Rachel Shenton) while he was away.

But his personal challenges were far from the only focus of the latest instalment as Siegfried (Samuel West) was at loggerheads with Audrey Hall's (Anna Madeley) new boss Mr Bosworth (Jeremy Swift).

However, it was the scenes shared between Siegfried and Mrs Hall that really caught fans' attention with some viewers describing them as a "married couple".

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one excited user wrote: "You see what I see right? We are seeing the slow burning of the century finally burning".

Someone else said: "I'm actually having a little cry, because I love them so much", with another writing: "It's just the flirting, their banter just comfortable and so so good to see."

"Audrey and Siegfried are so married it's insane", a fourth commented.

"The way she's teasing him and they're having their lil' flirtatious banter I'm so!!"

Another elaborated: "Seems like love is in the air for today's episode at least.

"Wholesome Siegfried and Audrey emosh, comforting, banter and flirting moments".

A romance between Siegfriend and Audrey has been teased since All Creatures first started in 2020 but nothing has so far been done about their underlying feelings.

However, the flirting in the first couple of episodes of season five hasn't gone unnoticed by fans so could this finally mean that they will get together at last?

All Creatures Great And Small continues every Thursday at 9pm on Channel 5.
