Thinning hair, hair loss and shedding can happen for all kinds of reasons, but for some people, it can be a blow to self-esteem. However, one hair product has been recommended by multiple shoppers, with some claiming to have noticed their hair growing back within six weeks. Champo Pitta Growth Serum contains caffeine, tetrapeptides and ayurvedic haritaki extract, which the brand says work together to reduce hair loss and enhance hair thickness and fullness.
According to Champo, visible improvements should be expected within 12 weeks of consistent use (with ongoing application for consistent results).
However, a customer said: "My hair was noticeably growing back within six weeks," and added it is now "much thicker". After using the serum for a few weeks, another customer review said: "My hairdresser can't believe the change".
According to Champo, the Growth Serum sells one bottle every 30 seconds. Now is an excellent time to stock up as the brand is currently offering an online sale, reducing the price of the 50ml bottle from £56.67 to £46. The 30ml bottle, while not on sale, retails for £34.
A 30ml bottle is said to "last four months", while the 50ml bottle should last over half a year without needing to repurchase.
Champo conducted a trial with 100 participants over 12 weeks, using the serum daily. The results showed that 90% of users experienced less hair loss, 89% reported visibly thicker hair, and 88% had noticeably fuller hair, reports Essex Live.
The formula is described as "non-greasy" and is designed to be applied with the pipette along the parting line, sides of the head, and temples to the crown. For optimal results, Champo advises customers to use two to three drops daily, focusing on any specific problem areas by massaging them in thoroughly.
One customer said: "I was sceptical as to whether this would do anything, but my hair is definitely thicker. I've been using it for four months and noticed a difference at around six weeks. My hairdresser noticed as well, saying that my hair seemed to be growing faster."
Another user said: "I have been using the pitta growth serum for nearly four months now, and I can definitely see and feel a difference in my hair. My colleagues have noticed how long it is getting, and the volume definitely feels thicker."
However, some shoppers have said you will need to be patient while waiting for results. In a review, they said: "If you're struggling with thin hair, I would certainly give this a try. You need to persevere every day, but I've found it worth it."
However, not everyone was as positive. One customer left a negative review, saying: "To be honest, the serum did not meet my expectations. I liked the packaging and it felt high-quality...Unfortunately, there is no effect (no noticeable increase in volume or growth of new hair). I have been testing the serum for two months now and will not be buying it again."
Champo also has a Volumising Shampoo and Conditioner set priced at £38 for two 260ml bottles. This has received similar praise as the serum.
John Frieda ProFiller+ Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner Duo is an alternative hair growth shampoo with good reviews. It is currently on offer at Amazon for £20, which works out at just £10 per 500ml bottle.
For those facing hair thinning issues, the UKLash Hair Growth Serum is another favoured choice among consumers. A 50ml bottle retails for £40, but with a subscribe and save option, it can be purchased for £32.
Or, our fashion and beauty writer Tiffany Lo put the Glow for It Hair Growth serum from Beauty Bay to the test, and she said it "reshaped her hairline" in 30 days.
