I have tried Walkers' brand new crisp flavours and one of them was amazing. The iconic British crisp brand has just released two new flavours, which will be part of its permanent lineup in supermarkets. The new flavours, Masala Chicken and Sticky Teriyaki, are available in stores from this week, and I have been eager to try them. So, when I saw them in my local Tesco, I had to pick them up.
If you're looking for these, you won't miss them. The packaging certainly stands out from the crowd. The new flavours come after a consumer test, which saw fans of the crisp brand trying a variety of innovative flavours, with these two coming out on top. They will now join Walkers' lineup of traditional crisp flavours such as Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar, and Prawn Cocktail. Walkers has spent a year working on its new flavour, originally receiving more than 60 different suggestions from customers and testing until the top two were selected. When I heard about these new flavours, I knew I had to try them.

So, I poured a packet of each into bowls and I dug in. I tried the Masala Chicken one first. It tasted good, but I thought there would be more of a kick to it.
Don't get me wrong, it really tastes unique compared to other crisps in the Walkers family, but I think I was expecting a bit more. Maybe that's an issue of personal preference.
Because the next crisp, the Sticky Teriyaki, really blew me away. Upon first bite, I was instantly impressed with the sweet and tangy flavour. It really gives you that hint of Japanese cuisine.
For me, the Sticky Teriyaki is a clear winner. In fact, I will definitely buy it from the shop again. The Masala Chicken flavour was nice, but I wouldn't be in a rush to get my hands on it again.
The Masala Chicken flavour has been described by Walkers as "rich and creamy". Perhaps that isn't what I'm looking for in a crisp. The sweet tanginess of the Teriyaki flavour was definitely more to my taste.
The Sticky Teriyaki flavour definitely packed more of a punch. Compared to the Masala Chicken one, the flavour popped instanly, letting me know I was in for a serious treat with this unique crisp flavour.
