There's an exciting change coming to Quality Street tins for Christmas 2025, and people have already taken to social media to share their thoughts on it. The iconic tin of chocolates is a staple in British homes during the festive season, and UK shoppers around the country will notice stacks of these famous purple tins in their local supermarkets from now until Christmas. This year, Quality Street has announced a special change for tins sold in two stores in the UK.
Nestlé has revealed that a mystery flavour will be added to tins of Quality Street sold in John Lewis and Waitrose. The flavour of the mystery chocolate will not be revealed until December, but fans have already been sharing their theories online. The secret flavour will only be available in select stores across the UK, so it will be a special occasion for anyone who gets to enjoy it this Christmas. The new flavour will appear in John Lewis and Waitrose stores that have Quality Street pick'n'mix stations.
These stations allow customers to fill their own tins of Quality Street with the chocolates of their choice. Last year, the brand introduced a Coffee Creme flavour that proved popular.
It returns this year along with the special mystery flavour, which fans have already been speculating about online. Some have suggested it might be a Dubai Chocolate flavour, which would make it the latest brand to jump on the pistachio craze after the likes of Lidl.
Quality Street teased the brand new flavour on Instagram, sharing an image of the sweets in their wrappers. People took to the comments section with their guesses. In addition to a slew of people suspecting pistachio, people also guessed mint and lime.
Rachael Mundy, marketing manager for gifting and seasonal at Nestlé Confectionery UK & Ireland, said: "Each year we look forward to bringing a limited-edition sweet into the mix to excite and delight Quality Street fans, but this year we've taken it a step further by keeping the flavour top secret.
"We can't wait to find out what the nation thinks the flavour is, and we're very much looking forward to hearing some of the guesses."
Meanwhile, Lisa Cherry, the Christmas buying manager at John Lewis, said: "The pick and mix stations have become a much-loved festive tradition for our customers, and this year's personalised ribbons and vintage-inspired baubles add an extra-special touch. We know families will enjoy guessing the new flavour while creating tins that are as unique as the people they're gifting them to."
