Sir Rod Stewart has issued a worrying announcement to fans who quickly flocked to support him. The Maggie May hitmaker is currently performing his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace casino - but confessed that ill health has forced him to cancel his latest show.
In a short statement shared on Instagram and X, formerly Twitter, Rod wrote: "I am sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date. Sir Rod." Fans quickly rushed to respond to the update, with one writing: "So sorry to hear. Please feel better and get well soon. I don't have a ticket and can't afford one and you're not close enough for me to see you in concert. But I do love your music."

Another echoed: "Sending prayers your way brother." While a third said: "Hope you're okay sir." Another social media user posted: "God bless you... hope you're feeling better."
Others were left "gutted" by the news, with one echoing: "Hope you feel better soon, travelled from the UK especially to see the show tonight. Gutted is an understatement. Going home in two days so can't make the rescheduled date."
Rod has been open about his health battles over the years, having been diagnosed with cancer twice in his life. In May 2000 he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and forced to undergo surgery on his throat - meaning he had to re-learn how to sing afterwards.
Then in 2017 Rod was diagnosed with prostate cancer, thankfully receiving the all-clear after a treatment regime. But he refused to tell his kids about the diagnosis at the time as he "didn't want to worry them".
He's in good shape currently, and wants to beat the world record for an 80-year-old running a 100 metre sprint - training on a private track on the land of his home.
