lamented latest toothless attacking performance after against in the . United supporters were left furious by Rasmus Hojlund's latest ineffective display, with many urging the 22-year-old striker to leave the club this summer.
Hojlund offered very little as the hosts dominated proceedings at Old Trafford but couldn't orchestrate a breakthrough, a common dilemma since Amorim's arrival. Pablo Sarabia's late free-kick, Wolves' first shot on target, was the difference, condemning United to a 15th league defeat of the season. After full-time, Amorim rued his side's continued lack of goals and admitted it is now just a waiting game until the summer to solve the problem.
"We suffered a goal with their [Wolves'] only shot to the goal," Amorim explained after full-time.
"They scored a goal, and we lost the game. It will be like this: ups and downs, and let's finish the season."
Amorim was complimentary about 20-year-old debutant Tyler Fredricson and fellow academy graduate Harry Amass, but reiterated that United need to improve their attack.
He added: "I think they played really well. We need to score goals so that the kids have better memories.
"These days are really disappointing. We were better than the opponents, but if you don't score goals, you don't win games."
Hojlund has scored just one goal in his last 28 appearances, leaving many fans at the end of their tether with the £72million striker.
The Denmark international's chances have been limited, but his lack of movement and anticipation inside the box has been a serious source of frustration.

Meanwhile, @RonaldoBrown_98 posted: "Respectfully, it's over for Hojlund."
@utdrobbo ranted: "That makes it four (potentially five) perfect crosses that Hojlund has not put away today. Get him off and probably gone in the summer."
Amorim addressed Hojlund directly in his post-match press conference, admitting his No. 9 has to rediscover his taste for goals.
"The only way I know is to work on him, show him the videos. He needs to score a goal. He will not score if he's out," said Amorim.
"So I try to manage that during games. But he needs to score one, maybe that's all a striker needs."
United are expected to prioritise a striker signing in the summer transfer window, leaving Hojlund's long-term future at Old Trafford far from certain.
