sparked concern amongst his Instagram followers as he shared a spooky snap and captioned it with a worrying message. The 35-year-old star scared fans as he said "goodbye" and "this is how it ends".
Sharing a snap of him looking fresh out of the shower, with a slightly steamed up mirror while wearing just a towel around his waist and a bath robe, Rylan concerned his fans with the caption of the Instagram post.
Accompanying the black and white snap, which showed a large handprint in the mirror, Rylan wrote: "I think this is how it ends. Bye x". Sharing the same image to his Instagram Stories, the former X Factor star added: "Send help".
That was when fans began to panic, with one fan commenting: "Rylan could you please let us know that your ok as you've got a lot of people worried lots of love is coming your way xx".
Another added: "Erm what do you mean this is how it ends?!" While a third penned: "Suggest you don't use posts like that. It's triggering for a lot of us."
After the concerns, the TV personality chose to add some context to the worrying messages. He edited the original post to add: "THAT IS NOT MY HANDPRINT [crying laughing emoji]."
In the post's comments, other followers also clarified that Rylan seemed to be referring to the random hand on the glass and was hinting at there being a ghost in the room with him.
One commenter said: "The number of people missing the point of this." Another echoed: "The people in the comments not getting the ghostly hand on the mirror joke."
A third penned: "I think the whole Ghost/Michael Myers scenario has gone over peoples heads."
Rylan recently opened up about his relationship with presenter , after being plagued by romance rumours.
The beloved TV and radio personality was swamped with queries after inviting his devoted followers to probe into his life.
In an extensive Q&A video that he uploaded to his YouTube channel, he explained: "I'm very single. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind one. I'm pretty content on my own, I'm quite a busy boy.
"I know I keep moaning that I'm single, but it's actually quite nice to do what I want, when I want where I want, with who I want."
Expanding on his close relationship with Rob, Rylan added: "I can't get rid of him, people thought we were dating," adding, "People thought we were together, and there's nothing wrong with that thought but we're not. We're just friends.
"We're like a married couple we row all the time and don't have sex. He's very much part of my life, I speak to him most days."
