Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool have become the first all-British pair to win the Wimbledon men's doubles title since 1936.
Julian, 28, and 31-year-old Lloyd made Wimbledon history by winning the men's doubles title by beating Australian Rinky Hijikata and David Pel of the Netherlands 6-2 7-6 (3) in the final on Centre Court.
Julian and Lloyd are the first all-British pairing to win the title since Pat Hughes and Raymond Tuckey lifted the trophy in 1936.
"When you say that it sounds incredible," said Lloyd. "It's been one Brit (winner) the last couple of years, now we've given you two Brits."
"We've played a crazy amount of tennis on grass, there was a lot of pressure on our shoulders," added Julian.
"It means the world. Our team backed us all the way. To do it here is incredible."
Taking to Instagram following the incredible milestone, Lloyd's brother, Parry Glasspool, wrote a sweet message to his sibling. Posting videos and pictures from Wimbledon, the actor, 33, penned: "Who would've thought it! Tennis every day for 25 years.
"Looks like it paid off! MASSIVE CONGRATS to the Little/Big brother for his WIMBLEDON DOUBLES WIN!! Crazy scenes."
Soap watchers will recognise Parry who played Harry Thompson in Hollyoaks from 2015 to 2019, where he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 21st National Television Awards in 2016.
Since leaving Hollyoaks, he appeared in Emmerdale for three episodes in 2022 as Jason Denshaw and also had a role in The Batman in 2022.
Taking to social media, Wimbledon fans were left stunned to learn that Lloyd's brother is none other than actor Parry. One person said: "Still fascinates me Glasspools bro was in Hollyoaks #Wimbledon."
Elsewhere, a different fan responding to Parry's Instagram post wrote: "Unreal mate! Congratulations to you all", a different account put: "Huge congrats to Lloyd and Julian. You'll always be the brother of a Wimbledon champion..." with a heart emoji, another commented: "Wow! Amazing" while a different account added: "Just incredible!"
Parry's character, Harry, was the son of Tessie Thompson and Tony Hutchinson on Hollyoaks. Harry was also the husband of Ste Hay from 2018 to 2019 while he also had son Isaac following a short rebound fling with Sadie Cressington on the soap.
However, in a dramatic storyline in 2019, Harry was murdered by Breda McQueen after she stabbed him in the stomach with a chisel.
Talking about his soap exit at the time, he said he was happy to "go out with a bang", although added: "I think I was always going to leave this year, but I didn't necessarily know at what point. If I was going to do longer than five years, I might as well have stayed at Hollyoaks for the long-run, which would have been fine.
"But because it's a soap, you never know what's going to happen. You could 'choose' to be in the show for a certain amount of time, but it doesn't mean it's going to happen! So I thought that five years was enough.
"I did think that if we kept Harry alive, I could possibly come back. I would have loved to have kept Harry alive through the ages, but it'll be nice to do something else now."
