'3-Year-Old Silenced by Teacher': Noida Police Arrests 2 Individuals from School in Sexual Assault Case

Noida: Two more individuals have been arrested from a private school in Noida in connection with the sexual assault of a three-year-old girl enrolled in pre-primary, said the police on Thursday. The Noida Police had previously arrested the prime accused, a member of the housekeeping staff, for the alleged digital rape of the minor on the school premises. This brings the tally of total arrests to three. In the latest development in the case, the police have arrested, and booked a teacher and an administrator of the school for allegedly attempting to conceal the matter. This comes after the minor alleged that the accused teacher asked her not to share details about the incident with anyone. Meanwhile, the administrator has been charged for lapses on the school’s part, according to the police.The incident, which took place on October 9, came to light when the parents of the pre-primary student took her to a hospital after she complained of severe abdominal pain. A case was registered at the Noida Sector-20 police station on October 10, a day after the incident.

Out of the total three arrests, two individuals were detained from the school. While the other suspects were booked for attempting to cover up the incident, the prime accused has already been charged under the relevant sections of BNS 65(2) and POCSO. What is Digital Rape? It should be noted that digital rape refers to a form of sexual assault involving the non-consensual insertion of fingers into another person's intimate areas. Accused 'Pricked' the Kid: FamilyThe family suspected something wrong when the minor refused to go to the school, and complained that she was experiencing abdomen pain. When they took her to a doctor, they were alerted about some injuries on her private parts. After the check-up, the child later told her parents that a man at her school, who distributed plates, had 'pricked' her with something at her private parts. Additionally, it has been reported that both the police and the school management are accused of concealing the matter.
