Quinoa Idli with Podi RecipePrepared with simple ingredients, follow these easy steps and make your mornings delightful and spicy.

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup quinoa
  • ½ cup urad dal
  • ½ cup idli rice
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 pinch mustard
  • 2 pinches of podi
MethodStep 1: Start by soaking rice and quinoa together at least for 3-4 hours. Rinse well and grind until smooth. Sprinkle water and don’t forget to soak urad dal and fenugreek seeds together for 2 hours. Step 2: Transfer both the batters to a mixing bowl and add salt to it. Close the lid and set aside to ferment for 8 hours. The batter must be thick. Grease the idli plates with oil and take a ladleful of batter into the mould. Step 3: Steam cook for 10 minutes or until the idlis are fluffy and cooked properly. Remove the idlis and allow it to cool. Step 4: In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter and add idlis to the oil. Sprinkle podi over the idli and toss gently. Ensure that the idli doesn’t break and they are coated evenly. Serve warm quinoa idli with podi and enjoy!
