Remo D'Souza, Wife Lizelle Booked In Rs 11.96 Crore Cheating Case: Report

In a shocking turn of events, a news report confirms that renowned choreographer Remo D'Souza and his wife Lizelle are facing a lawsuit in Maharashtra for allegedly cheating a dance troupe of ₹11.96 crore. As per the reports, the lawsuit, which is filed at the Mira Road police station in Thane district, accuses the couple and five others of forgery and cheating.

Remo and Lizelle in legal trouble According to the complaint filed by a 26-year-old dancer, Remo, Lizelle and five others who posed as the troupe's owners collected the prize money after winning a television show. The alleged deception occurred between 2018 and July 2024. The other accused in the case include Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav of Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a police officer, and Ramesh Gupta. The police have registered the case under sections 465 (forgery) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code, among other relevant provisions. He has also hosted several dance shows, such as Dance Plus and India's Best Dancer. In addition to his work in the dance industry, Remo is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, Be Happy, which he directed and Lizelle produced. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Inayat Verma, alongside Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johny Lever, and Harleen Sethi. The investigation into the alleged cheating case is ongoing, and no further details have been provided regarding Remo and Lizelle's involvement.
