A Gulf of Mexico tropical storm, Milton, could turn into a powerful hurricane before making landfall in Florida days after Helene caused havoc in the panhandle region last week. According to forecasters, Milton - formed on Saturday - could begin to impact the continental US next week. Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency is several counties. The counties include: Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter and Volusia.Read More:
