UP Schools Closed Today, Holiday Announced in THESE Districts Due to Incessant Rains

Uttar Pradesh schools will be closed today in select districts due to incessant rains. Local media claim that considering the rains and weather prediction, UP Government has decided to announce holiday in a total of four districts. Schools holiday has been announced for Meerut, Bulandshahr, Hapur and Shamli districts. Even colleges and other educational institutes will remain closed today.Meerut Education Officer Asha Chaudhary announced that DM has instructed holiday on the basis of the report of the Meteorological Department. All government and provate schools will be closed from class nursery to 12th.

Exams Postponed Any exam scheduled to be conducted today, September 19 stands postponed. Students are advised to be in contact with their respective schools for revised schedule of examination. To be noted that various schools are conducting unit test and pre-board examination this month. IMD has also predicted isolated light rainfall during the subsequent six days, and isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall over the remaining region during the week. The weather agency further said that isolated very heavy rainfall is expected ober southwest Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh. The students are advised to be in touch with their respective schools for latest update on school holiday.
